How do i record from a mixer to an mp3 file preferable on my laptop. ?
I have cd decks, and my mixer is a 'Numark DM950'. I think i need a new mixer, but which one and what cables/ equipment do i need as I would like them to be good recordings.

I believe you can rig up an input to an 8th inch plug from a standard mixer output and use software such as Audacity to record the file. I'm not sure of the quality you would get but I believe it would work.

Is there an iPod mixer that can change tempo or pitch of your music?
I know about the Numark iPod mixer, but it doesn't alter the tempo and pitch of your music. Is there something high-end out there that does it? Strictly using iPods or mp3 players though.
Audacity maybe?
i use it to cut songs short and stuff but it probably does other things too.
itunes sort of also has a thing called Equalizer which isn't probably what your looking for.. but if you didn't know what that was, it could sometimes come in handy to change the sound of the song.
